> The pivot point calculator works out the pivot point and support and resistance levels for the next trading session from the previous high, low and close – with the standard, Fibonacci, Woodie and Camarilla methods.

## Inputs

- Method
- Previous high
- Previous low
- Previous close

## Results

- Pivot point
- Resistance 1
- Resistance 2
- Resistance 3
- Support 1
- Support 2
- Support 3

## Formula

```
Standard: P = (H + L + C) ÷ 3; R1 = 2P − L; S1 = 2P − H; R2 = P + (H − L); S2 = P − (H − L)
Fibonacci: R1/S1 = P ± 0.382(H − L); R2/S2 = P ± 0.618(H − L)
Woodie: P = (H + L + 2C) ÷ 4
Camarilla: R1/S1 = C ± (H − L) × 1.1 ÷ 12; R2/S2 = C ± (H − L) × 1.1 ÷ 6
```

## Explanation

Day traders use pivot points as potential turning points. Price above the pivot is often read as bullish, below as bearish.
