> The ham per person calculator works out how big a ham to buy – bone-in, boneless or spiral-sliced – for your guests, with or without leftovers, plus the roasting time to reheat it.

## Inputs

- Adults
- Children
- Type of ham
- Leftovers?

## Results

- Ham to buy
- Reheating time at 325 °F (fully cooked)
- Reheat to

## Formula

```
Ham = guests × amount per person (bone-in ¾ lb, spiral-sliced ½ lb, boneless ⅓–½ lb) × leftovers factor
Reheating a fully cooked ham at 325 °F: about 10–18 min per lb (spiral 10–14)
```

## Explanation

Bone-in hams have more flavour (and a bone for soup) but less meat per pound. Most supermarket hams are fully cooked and only need reheating to 140 °F (60 °C); uncooked hams must reach 145 °F (63 °C) and rest for 3 minutes.
