> The ml to grams calculator converts millilitres to grams (and back) for water, milk, cream, oil, honey, syrups, flour, sugar and many more ingredients, using each one's density.

## Inputs

- Ingredient
- Grams per US cup (custom ingredient)
- Volume (ml, cups, fl oz, L, tbsp)

## Results

- Weight
- Density

## Formula

```
Grams = millilitres × density (g/ml)
Water: 1 ml = 1 g; milk ≈ 1.03 g/ml; honey ≈ 1.42 g/ml; oil ≈ 0.84 g/ml
```

## Explanation

Only water (and very water-like liquids) have a 1:1 ratio between millilitres and grams. Oils are lighter than water, syrups and honey are heavier, and powders like flour are much lighter because of the air between particles.

### How to use the ml to Grams Calculator
