Region score = (erythema + oedema/papulation + excoriation + lichenification) × area score × region weight
Weights (age 8+): head 0.1, upper limbs 0.2, trunk 0.3, lower limbs 0.4 (under 8: head 0.2, lower limbs 0.3)
EASI = sum of the four regions (0–72)

## Explanation

EASI is the recommended outcome measure for eczema clinical trials and is used to judge eligibility for systemic and biologic treatments. A 75% improvement (EASI-75) is a common treatment goal.
