> The face shape calculator classifies your face as oval, round, square, rectangle (oblong), heart, diamond or triangle from four measurements – forehead, cheekbones, jawline and face length – and the shape of your jaw.

## Inputs

- Forehead width (cm, in, m, ft, mm)
- Cheekbone width (cm, in, m, ft, mm)
- Jawline width (cm, in, m, ft, mm)
- Face length (cm, in, m, ft, mm)
- Jaw shape

## Results

- Face length ÷ cheekbones
- Face shape

## Formula

```
Length ratio = face length ÷ cheekbone width
Long face (ratio ≥ 1.5): rectangle if the jaw is angular, otherwise oblong
Forehead widest and jaw narrowest: heart · cheekbones widest: diamond · jaw widest: triangle
All widths within 10%: square (angular jaw) or round (soft jaw) · otherwise oval
```

## Explanation

Knowing your face shape helps when choosing glasses, haircuts and makeup. The shapes are style categories rather than medical ones, so many people are a mix of two.

### How to use the Face Shape Calculator

- **Forehead width**
- **Cheekbone width**
- **Jawline width**
- **Face length**
- **Jaw shape**

Results update as you type, and every field accepts the units shown in its menu.

### How it works

Use a soft tape in front of a mirror. Measure the forehead across its widest point, the cheekbones from the outer corner of each eye, the jawline from the tip of the chin to below the ear (doubled), and face length from the hairline to the chin. The calculator compares the proportions with the usual style rules.
