> The effective field goal percentage calculator finds two-point, three-point and effective field goal percentages, giving three-pointers 50% extra credit, plus the points scored.

## Inputs

- 2-point field goals made
- 3-point field goals made
- 2-point attempts
- 3-point attempts

## Results

- 2-point percentage
- 3-point percentage
- Field goal percentage
- Effective field goal percentage
- Points from field goals

## Formula

```
eFG% = (FGM + 0.5·3PM) ÷ FGA,  FGM = 2PM + 3PM,  FGA = 2PA + 3PA
```

## Explanation

A made three-pointer is worth 50% more than a two, so plain field goal percentage undervalues good three-point shooters. eFG% fixes this: the league average is around 53–55%.
